Pike Place Market ~ Seattle

I spend most of my time on the "other side" of the Sound.  Recently I had a visitor from Boston and a friend drove us into "the city' to have a visit at Pike Place Market.  Thought this would be as good a time as any to begin to refresh this blog!
The market is filled with the heading aroma of fragrant flowers.  Magnificent bouquets can be had for relatively little money.
Fresh fish for the discerning cook!
Crisp, fresh veggies waiting to go home with you!
Sweet fruit to end the meal.

Hmmmmmmmm!

Veiwing "the Mountain" and Seattle

Business took me to Bainbridge Island. It is a beautiful place nestled in Puget Sound. It is home to many wealthy people and I'm told, many artist...perhaps they are one and the same. Only had a few moments to take a couple of photos but never-the-less, here they are:

Seattle as seen from the shore of Bainbridge Island:

Mt. Rainier in all it's majesty visible today. Often "the mountain" is shrouded in clouds. It is a volcano and has active steam vents. It is also magnificent to see...reminds us of our relative size in the universe.
